London Police Finally Cracks Down On Its Pickpockets
The uncontrollable turn of event in London may have gotten some form of grip so far. Lately, I have been following a very active Instagram page dedicated to showing the faces and identify of the notorious set of London Pick Pockets.
The rate at which these guys operate, have gotten to a record breaking all time high. The record shows that as much as 24,000 phones were stolen last year, taking it to as high as 300%.

The group of pick pockets grew in such a short time, from men on electric bikes who have masks on, snatching phones and bag and all kinds of things in London.
It went from the less confident ones, to the group of men who now don’t cover their faces, men who have more confidence, men who don’t bother covering their faces anymore, yet they steal in broad day light, people can see them but just choose to mind their business.
The silence that came from the people of London, the police, and the technology, may have fueled the increase in the number of london criminals.
The groups are not only men now, they are women, regular women, innocent looking women, completely unsuspecting, freely letting the cameras get their pictures and those of the rest of their group members.
This wrnt on for o long, that these women thought the last overwhelmed with the idea of getting their details and making an arrest, of even taking the right action towards ending their marham.
The news of it has made headlines for years on social media, and have been accompanied by scary videos that were generated all over social media on daily basis.
These women are seen fighting back the peole are calling them out on their choice of work. They literally make a living stealing from people’s stolen goods, and still gave the guts to fight back.
They were scared at first, thinking that the government was going to take a decision and go after them, but when they realised that the government had a full plate, the government had a bigger fish to fry with the endless string of boats coming illegally into the country.
Some have said it is a case of the illegal immigrants coming in to increase the crime rates, and destabilise the system. But if we are being honest, this has been in full force right from the previous regime. These guys have succeeded in making people scared of London, and by people, I mean me. I am scared of visiting london, and I live not so far away.
Now imagine the other people who haven’t even to the UK, and they see the videos of the pick pockets going on in London, that is enough to determine them from ever coming into the country, when people see the scary videos of people commiting crime in broadday light, with so much confidence.
They don’t even reserve it for jight time and for lonely places, they now do it in busy places, doing it during the day, when everyone can see it happen, hut choose to mind their business.
After years bog people assuming thag the police are overwhelmed, that they are short-staffed, that theh are underpaid or not motivated enough.
Just after the police system enablement was done, funds released, recruits were brought in, and then young vibrant people were brought in to match the energy of these young criminals, it is exciting to finally say that the law is finally catching up with these criminals.
Last week on the morning news, I watched the new set of police mission, where these young police men and women were trained and mobilised very early in the morning, with their leaders having the photos and addresses of the criminals they were about to arrest.
These guys were up and warming up in London, divided in batches with a senior officer to supervise the mission. They even had the BBC journalist there with them to get the evidence of the planned mission to fight against crime.
Now when these guys set out to these address, when these police men and women set out to these homes to make arrest of criminals in their pyjamas.
These guys arrested women, men, mums, dads, just anyone who was confirmed to be a part of the pick pocket groups.
Simply watching thag mission, restored confidence in the law enforcement, watching them sen these criminals in the police vans, some saying their babies were crying.
I mean, you want the law to consider your crying baby, while you deprive so many babies of different things, depriving many families of their sources of sustenance,
just by simply taking their phones and withdrawing their money, only to have their criminal demanding you consider their loved ones.
I have come to realise that peole to hurt people the most, are always requesting mercy, always demanding kindness, and reconsideration for their punishment.
Knowing that some of these pick pockets have been sent to prison. That simple act arresting them with have ripple effects of those who are already in the pick pockets trade, and those who are about to join.
They get scared, the potential ones will have a change of heart, they will have some form of fear, that will limit their comfidebce in smatching these phones and stealing from people.
Someone like me, will have a better view of London, as that will restore my willingess to visit London, knowing that I will not be attacked and robbed during my tourism moves.
CONCLUSION
So if like me you have been scared for years to visit London and see its beauty, then maybe your fear will have restless, because if all the pock pockets haven’t been taken off the streets of London, then about 70% have been taken out.
This doesn’t mean that you get careless with your private property whenever you are in London. The Police, with the help of technology, are doing their best, to get these ever evolving criminals off the London streets, but you still stay alert and vigilant.
