In the last one year, the world had gone from completely praying to have Donald Trump lose his interest in becoming the US President, to wishing his presidential election flops, to hoping the court or someone big stops him, and then hoping he doesn’t win, to denying the fact that he won, and rejecting his victory, leaving the US for other countries, like the UAE regions and more.

People have gone from conniving to tarnish his image at the slightest provocation, some on social media, many in real life, and then the journalist, like BBC, who didn’t only say, or act it, but went a step ahead, to edit the speech of Trump, putting words they wanted him to say, which he didn’t, which would increase his negative impression on viewers.
Now he caught BBC red handed, and after the investigation, BBC got sued, and then their some executives, went on to resign.
The Trump’s administration is being termed the Saviour or National issues. Even though many do not think claiming Greenland is okay. But he has gone ahead to explain that the reason is that he didn’t want China or Russia to take over greenland, and that would be very difficult for the USA to handle, as they wil be spied upon, and even easily attacked.
The news going on, have not stopped the administration from handling the issues it has intended to handle. President Trump’s administration first clamped down on immigration. It implemented policies that were mainly to secure the US border, whether from Mexico, illegal migrants, Africa. For this reason, the President enforced immigration laws that have left so many undocumented US residents, hiding, and some peacefully leaving the country. People who do not have their papers their documents to be in the Country, and their means of affiliation to the country.
Remember that this does not mean those who have only arrived the country. So many others who have been in the country for decades, were also deported, because they wete illegally occupying the Country. U saw a video of a Mexican lady sweeping and trying to bring an old dilapidated home back to life. She cried while she arranged the home without electricity, without water and without any impressive decor.
She had spent upto 20 years in the US without having her papers, and now she has been deported, because she came in illegally,and that stopped her from getting her documents, for almost 30 years. She basically wasted that whole time and now went back to her stage 1. She was not the only person, and i saw too many videos of families being seperated.
The key issue Trump tackled during his second tenure, was the illegal immigration. He literally has the ICE agent chasing down, arresting, and detaining people who looked lole they didn’t have papers, and then deported those who actually didn’t have papers to be in the US.
Trump administration has succeeded in slashing the border crossings we are high as a 95% drop in March of 2025, compared to the previous year. Guess everyone is scared of Trump. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is said to have deported over 622,000 illegal migrants since Trump’s second term began, with another 1.9 million choosing to self-deport.
They didn’t want to be malhandled, to deported without their important belongings. So they put their things together, and hit the road. Nobody wants to be a victim to Trump ICE, because he backs their actions up. The regime went a head to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” polocy for asylum seekers. This literally means that asylum seekers will stay in Mexico while their cases are processed.
This ultimately mean if you are granted an asylum, you come into the US, if not, you find your way home. The famous part of all this, is that these immigrants will be detained in Mexico, instead of letting them step foot into the US. In addition, the administration scrapped the CBP one app, which is the famous US app, where asylum seekers are permitted into the US. Those priviledges have been withdrawn.
The ICE arrest has been the most dramatic one, where people are arrested when they look and act like they are scared of the ICE agent, and then prove to the ICE agents if they have their papers or not.
At first it was the asian markets, the saloons, the illegal markets, the places where these illegal guys are known to work at. Then they went on to arrest people in homes, hideout spots, religious places, schools. I even saw a graduation ceremony that got interrupted by ICE, and detained a high number of parents. They ICE agents worked with local law enforcement, which made it very famous.
President Trump even Declared a national emergency at the southern border, allowing for increased military activities. The US Threatened Mexico with tariffs, unless they take action against illegal migration. This is coming after years of uncontrollable border crossing between Mexico, into the US.
The border wall construction which he couldn’t finish in his last tenure, Trump continued it in second tenure and he has been going at it with the speed of light. He has been listing out countries that are benficial to the US, and Countries that are benefiting more from the US.
The have placed permanent ban on some countries and patial ones on the rest. Policies that have been made for some countries, to restrict that free entrance into the US, and individuals with more financial power, will buy their way in. The policy will reduce the migration flow to through Colombia.
He has increased pressure on the neighbouring countries to address the migration issues. Issues that have gone out of control, issues that have placed US to permanently be at the receiving end. Trump’s eyes have been on the price, despite the criticism from human right groups on the treatment of migrants. Some have called it racial profiling, as African Countries seem to be the highest on the list of banned countries.
Trump’s government has taken a strong stance on immigration, and to be honest, I wouldn’t have guessed that this many people were illegally residing in the US, because the number of people who were illegally living in the US, who were affected by it, was crazy. While many see this as mean and insensitive, it has actually worked. It has been a necessary step to protect the country, since for so many years in the western part of thr world, there has been some uncontrollable influx of migrants, and that has been at an all time high for the UK, not exactly for the US, as they have had it undercontrol for a while.
This is such a right step in the right direction, to control what was about to overwhelm the US. He has had a set of significant peace talks, in North Korea, withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, imposed sanctions, and strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
Trump also brokered an Isreal-Palestine peace deal, that has brought peace to the fighting middle east. He encouraged and even brokered the peace agreement between Israel and the neighbouring countries. Trump imposed a tariff on countries that iported their goods to the US, with China being the top of the list, after they fought back. Trump pushed for a higher defence for NATO. Trump warned, and captured arrested, and brought to court, the Venezuelan President, Maduro and his wife. The African countries like Somalia, and Nigeria have gotten their US benefits reveiwed.
At first Trump reached out to Nigeria to willingly accept their deportees, and Nigeria refused, saying it has its own problems. Trump has had a rather interesting first year as president with Nigeria. At first Trump designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular concern” due to the insistent persecution of Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria.
It has been this way since thr onset, but it got obvious during the 2001 crisis, and has worsen since then. This has been a source of tension between Nigeria and the United states, as videos of the killings in the northern part of Nigeria has been ongoing, and has gone unnoticed for long.
Trump’s intervention did bring relief to the persecuted Nigerian Christians. The intervention of the US military to handle and end the islamic terrorist group that have been executing horror on the Nigerian Christians.
The Nigerian authority however claimed that the Christians are not the only ones being targeted, that even the muslims and others are also targets. The Nigerian Government accepted the hand of help offered by the US, claiming it is a collaborative effort of.both countries, but it was the US that imposed the action on Nigeria.
After everyone had one or two things to say, they Interestingly, the US struck ISIS targets in Nigeria on Christmas Day, with Trump’s administration claiming it was targeting groups killing Christians. However, some experts questioned the target choice, suggesting it might have helped other terror groups, because it was at the North West, Sokoto, instead of North East.
Nigeria also faces visa restrictions from January 2026, part of Trump’s broader travel ban that have affected 39 countries. The move aims to prevent entry of nationals with insufficient risk assessment.

The latest news on Venezuela is that President Donald Trump announced that the US will “run” the country, Venezuela after capturing President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in a military operation. Thus happened days after the Venezuela President called the US and its President, “a bunch of cowards”, asking them to come fet him. He stated his location and asked them to come get him, and that was the exact thing they did.
After his capture, amidst criticism from other nations, the US announced that they will take over the administrative affairs of Venezuela, since the arrested President, Maduro, was accused of being a drug peddler.
The vice President of Venezuela, was shown in as the actin president, but Trump refused to recognise that, because according to him, the entire team of head are are all corrupt, and it doesn’t matter how many time they select a Resident from that group, they would all be considered corrupt.
Trump stated that the US will administer Venezuela until a safe transition to democracy and restore the country’s oil industry to repay US companies whose property was confiscated. So the President is creating the time to give to the US what belongs to the US, before Venezuela is left alone?
The operation, carried out on January 3, 2026, involved US military forces and resulted in Maduro’s arrest and transfer to New York to face charges. He was charged to court with his wife, where they both pleaded “Not guilty” to the crime they were accused of. Trump went on to warn of a possible second operation. In all of these, the Venezuelan people are more than elated to have their president taken away by the US.
The US plans to revive the collapsed Venezuelan oil sector, with US companies planning to heavily invest in the collapsed oil sector, The countries of the world have reacted to the news, even its allies, and that has in no way stopped the US from doing all that it wants to do with Venezuela.
Many say it is rather random for US to taje direct aim at the oil countries, like Nigeria and Venezuela.Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserve globally, but a les than impressive production, under the now arrested President Maduro.
