A couple on social media, with the handle @risesaboveitall, posted a video of themselves talking about their a video they saw on tiktok, where a lady advised women, girls and every femald human who id o the menstrating age, to ensure they always check their pad for any fault.
The couple ensure that they confirmed that the pad was simply taken out of the pack and placed under the light, and they shockingly saw a build up of mould sitting pretty inside the new and unused pad.
I didn’t even know that something of that nature, something this serious, something of that calibre was possible. The fear that i felt seeing that, knowing that i have used pads for such a long time, and never thought it was possible to have the need to check the pad under the light.
You wonder how many poisnous pads have been used over the years, wondering how many infections were as a result of the mould infested pads, and many harsh things went unnoticed, because a bad pad was used, and how many infections have been treated numerous times, and they come right back.
Can you imagine the fear that comes with thinking you may have used these pads, wondering if the what they left behind, was permanent and temporal.
When you get the world complaints about whatever is bothering them, and then you assume you don’t get similar issues, and then you get to see their evidence and realise you don’t have the same issue, because you are not as meticulous as they are.
Do you know how careful you have to be to think about suspecting, and even going as far as investigating something like a pad? No one would have thought of even suspecting that something like pad would be containing soemthing this shocking.
Can you seriously imagine that moulds would be found in an unused pad ? Could it be that it was soaked in water, sitting in a waterlogged area? A place with high humidity?
I am not a scientist, but don’t you need water of moist or water in the air, for mould to build? How then do we know what the history of this pad is?
What would bring a pad to have moulds in it. What could have possibly gone wrong during the production and storage of the product, or is the couple have a few questions to answer, since they are the ones going to talk more about the moulds found inside the pad.
There are definitely reasons why there would be moulds in that pad. The couple said they never suspected anything in the first place, but simply tried to check, since they saw a similar video on tiktok.
The beauty of the truth is always worthy of an investigation. How did the couple realise the pad was worth checking? According to the couple, people are claiming to be infected after using a certain pad.
Imagine having to use a pad that is seriously infected, all kinds of infections will be sitting pretty in your system, and the least of them will be the famous Urinary tract infection.
I have two question though, what was the production and storage condition the pad up until it was placed under the light. And then where was it gotten and from?
The fact that this is freely existing in a pad that is used every month, by billions of females, it is such a disturbing reality, even though I can’t vouch for the authencity of the entire video, it is a world of content right now, and we don’t have to believe everything we see and watch on social media, until proven to be valid and authentic.
But it is a shocking notification to anyone who comes across it, even though we can’t confirmed the authenticity of thag video, the motives behind it, and the reason for their exposal. The issue has come to light, no doubt, the awareness has been created.
I will definitely try to run the light test when next I use a pad. It is not a sure thing to find weirdness in them, you can’t confirm for sure that we will find anything in them. but it is definitely worth a try.
Conclusion
In the world of so many women in the society, some in the rural and others in the urban areas, you find all of these girls, in their child bearing age, those who are not in their menopausal window, are going to be exposed to this possible horror.
While this was probably possible in a third world country, the couple who made the video are in the US, so it is not even a third world situation.
The issues can manifest anywhere, and at anytime. It is a concerning error is antthing, it is not the same thing when the situation was possibly manipulated to suit a narrative, but it doesn’t prevent the fact that it is a situation worth exploring. It doesn’t hurt anyone to just run that pad through a light before using it.
It better to be safe than sorry, and we don’t know what the storage condition of the product has to be, for it to have moisture and mould in it. It is soemthing we need to investigate, but who is going to investigate it? Who would be brave enough to do it?
To be honest, not every time you intend to use a pad that you would remember to run it through a light, to confirm it is only a pad, and nothing more. I think you wouldn’t clearly find something worthy of talking about, but there is certainly going to be a reason.
Consistency might pay off sometime, but not everyone has the patience, and persistence to keep checking these things out, we need to keep appreciating these people who take time out to investigate things like these, and raise awareness for the rest of us, who are not as meticulous as we should.
