Conservative Party Leader finally reveals reason for her resentment towards Nigeria
After the outright push for a restriction on Nigerind and other immigrants in the UK Conservative party leader of Nigerian decent, Kemi Badenoch, is finally speaking up on her anger towards the nation, Nigeria.

After Nigerins are proud that a daughter of the soil, has advanced into a decision making stage in the UK, following Kemi political growth.

The pride and joy of Nigerians, didn’t last long at all, when the same Kemi was the pushing force for all changes that are significantly impacting on her country people.

In her recent interview, leader of the Conservative Party revealed that she can’t pass her Nigerian citizenship to her children, because she is a Nigerian.

For those wondering what she means, let me explain. In Nigeria, a man who marries a lady from another country, will automatically have his kids become Nigerians, whether born in Nigeria or not.

But on the other hand, a Nigerian Woman who marries a man from another country, other than Nigeria, will never have their children become Nigerians.

This is because an ancient law of Nigeria, doesn’t place woman on the same level as the men. Men are more valuable than a woman, and that is not even hidden.

Now that I have explained this, this is the reason why, Kemi’s children can never become Nigerians on that law, until the law is changed.

So, on her recent interview, Kemi referenced this, as as source of anger, because she shouldn’t be having any restrictions in passing down her Nigerian citizenship to her children.

But she made it clear, that this law has stopped her from passing down citizenship to her children, just because of her gender.

Mrs Badenoch elaborated last Sunday on her interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, while comparing the immigration laws of both countries, Nigeria and United Kingdom.

She went on to address the address that the UK is vulnerable to immigrants, who take advantage of its policies, which can equate to ease of threat, due to their open policies.

To get more specific, she was asked if she was going to give a nod towards a Nigerian coming to the UK, to create their own ‘Mini-Nigeria’, and she categorically said “No”.

She went on to explain that she said ‘No’, and explained that it wasn’t right, because the Nigerians she knows wouldn’t even let that happen in their own country, because they would let it slide.

She added that there are many people who come to the UK, and do things that they wouldn’t let anyone do in their Countries.

To emphasise that, she cited the Nigerian citizenship and her inability to pass it down to her children. It was obvious this bothered her.

She explained that it was impossible to get a Nigerian citizenship. She got hers from her parents, which meant, her dad, and now she cant give it to her children, because she is a woman.

Yet, loads of Nigerians come together the UK and stay for a relatively free period of time, and acquire British Citizenship, we need to stop being naive. He added.

My Opinion
While this lack of citizenship pass down to the children bothers the Kemi Badenoch, it bothers millions of Nigerian women.

The only difference here is that Kemi is actually one of the most influential women to be this bothered by this archaic law.

Rather than punish the whole country through the policies of the country you have grown to become influential in, how about you use your power in the UK, to convince the incumbent government of Nigeria, to consider turning that law around, or probably delete it entirely?

We all know how much power and influence the UK has over Nigeria. Speaking to Keir Stammer to request that of President Tinubu, is more efficient than these interviews.

If this is not about a political move, if this is not to make your party look good and get voted in the next election, if this old Nigerian law issue,

genuinely bothers you, then Kemi you know the best next step to take. This bothers millions of Nigerian women all around the world.

Nigerian doesn’t give benefit to its citizens, so, they wouldn’t be losing anything by letting mother be able to pass down their Nigerian citizenship.

Imagine going down in history as the woman who single handedly changed this horrible law against Nigerian women, rather than only being the leader of your political party.

This is huge, this is very huge for Nigerian women. Kemi, you can use your power to solve an actual real life problem for women, rather than the political aspect of everything.

The Whole of Nigerian women who didnt marry Nigerin men, will never have children who are Nigerian.

They walk around like they are okay, but they are not. This doesn’t look like an issue with Nigerian women who married Nigerian men,

but when you try the other side of life, then toh would ser thing the way they do. It is horrible, and really sad.

This is not a change that can be done by just about anyone, it is something big, and should be done by something big.

Kemi, if you really want to change things, you can chnage things. This target and resentment will only eat you up, you need to let it go, and do something to change it.
